One year ago our worlds were rocked by the bombings at the Boston Marathon. I remember thinking at the time that the bombers picked the wrong city, the wrong sport to mess with. Boston is a city with heart, pride, and resilience. Marathon runners are a dedicated, determined, tenacious bunch of athletes. Why pick this city? These athletes? I will never understand it. It has changed our world and our sport forever. I remember running the San Diego Rock n Roll half marathon just six weeks later and seeing snipers on the rooftops at the starting line in Balboa Park. We are forever changed. We are forever #BostonStrong.
